Your son or daughter is having a birthday and they want a party. They want to invite all of their friends. You, as a parent have been put on notice, now comes the concept of what kind of party to have and what is my budget. Should you have a party at home or at park or do you have it at some kid-friendly location such as Chuck E. Cheese?
Does your child want a theme party such as a Disney Princess Party or Pirates of the Caribbean? If so, make sure the invitations, party favors, table decorations, games and birthday cake reflect the theme.
After that determination is made, go to the guest list. Determining the number of people you wish to invite is always a good idea regardless of whether or not you are on a budget. This will give you an idea as to how much food is needed, the activities that need to be planned as well as how many goody bags you need to have on hand.
The next thing that needs to be determined is the location of the party. If you are having a party at home or at the park, quick and easy foods like pizza, hot dogs, chips and spaghetti served with bite -sized fruits and juices are always a good way to go.
What is a party without games and prizes? Favorites such as pin the tail on the donkey, egg toss, sack race, and the piñatas are timeless party staples. Serve cake and ice cream and then open presents.
If this seems like it may be too much for you, there are party places that take care of all your party needs. Chuck E. Cheese is one such place that handles all of your food and entertainment needs.
