If you have children, this time of year can be very busy. Most kids are involved in some type of sports, boy/girl scouts, dance, or many other activities. It is usually easy to set up a schedule to determine who is taking the kids to the event and who is picking them up. This can also make it a lot cheaper with the rising cost of gasoline today.
This is also a great way for your kids to bond with their friends or their teammates. It is very important to set up the schedule in advance so you do not have two sets of parents picking up your child. This will also give you and your spouse an opportunity to get things done that you may not be able to do as you are constantly on the run with your kids.
You need to remember that when you are picking up some one else’s kids that you should drive extra carefully as you do not want to have an accident. Make sure every one puts on their seat belts and that every one is seated in the car as well.
If you are not able to pick up the group of kids because of a change in your schedule make you notify one of the other parents immediately so that arrangements can be made to pick up the kids. Open communication is the key if car pooling is going to work for you and your children. If you have to go a far distance to a game and you have a van try to bring a DVD along with you to play for the kids.
