Kindergarten: Here We Come

Well, the meet and greet from my eldest daughter went great. She didn't want to leave when It was over. I practically had to drag her out of the classroom. I am having trouble believing that it is KINDERGARTEN. It feels like I just blinked and she is grown. I know that it isn't all that dramatic, but it feel like I am losing my baby. When you have a child, the child's health and wellbeing consume you. Then, suddenly, you are turning them over to someone else but only for a few hours. And its just a short bit of time and your child has to worry about uniforms and cubbie holes and you have to let them go. Sure, there will still be homework and room mom duties. But it feels like I am letting go. Thats a big part of my job as a mom—knowing when to let go.
